

KAREN TKACZYK TEACHING EDITING AND PROOFREADING CLASS IN SPRING 2019
Following on from successful training last year, Karen is returning to teach a class for Corinne Mackay’s translation workshops. Entitled Editing and proofreading for into-English translators, it will take place from February 11-March 11, 2019. Karen will teach four units, as follows.
TKACZYK TO REPRESENT ATA AT 2019 STC CONFERENCE
In her role as a speaker for the American Translators Association, Karen Tkaczyk will speak at the 2019 Technical Communication Summit to be held in Denver, Colorado from May 5-8.
KAREN MCMILLAN TKACZYK RECEIVES ISO 17100:2015 QUALIFICATION
Karen Tkaczyk has achieved Qualified Status for ISO 17100:2015. What is ISO 17100:2015? ISO 17100:2015 is a standard that applies to translation services providers such as translation agencies and freelance translators.
TKACZYK TO TUTOR ITI COURSE
Continuing her twice yearly participation, Karen will be a tutor on the upcoming Setting Up as a Freelance Translator course for Autumn 2018. Karen teaches the module called “Specialising and Networking”, which occurs in October 2018.
TKACZYK TO TEACH SCITECH TRANSLATION CLASS
Along with three other specialized translators, Karen Tkaczyk will be part of the Translation Workshop: French to English run by Corinne McKay to take place in April and May 2018. Karen will teach the portion on scientific and technical translation.
TKACZYK TO HOST ITI INTERNATIONAL NETWORK ONLINE MEETING
The ITI International Network will hold two online sessions on 13 February 2018 on “International Events” to discuss what translation- or business-related events we are planning to attend this year. Let’s share ideas. Karen Tkaczyk will host the day’s second session at 1 pm MST, 8 pm GMT.
